Scotlandhour August 2018 – Secret Scotland!
Scotland is known for many things including tartan, whisky, our mountains and our history and culture. But what about the less well known areas of Scotland including tourist hubs like our cities and the highlands? The dictionary tells us that a secret is something known about by only a small number of people, and is not told or shown to anyone else. Hopefully we will be able to let people in on a few of our country’s secrets during the hour!
Our first co-host this month is Keith from @travelingsavage – Keith is an American living in Wisconsin but fully immersed in Scotland! His passion for our country is plain to see and when not working on his novels, he uses this knowledge to help others plan their trips around Scotland as you can see from his piece on Dunnottar Castle which is shown here.
Our second co-hosts this month are Colin and Linda from @amberparkcouple . They are both professional individuals and have day jobs. Colin is a Chartered Civil Engineer and Linda is an Administration Manager. They enjoy ‘staycations’ in Scotland and the rest of the UK and trips all over the world. They love to travel, but never miss an opportunity to explore their own backyard and promote Scotland at home and overseas. A few of their recent blogs are testament to this:
