HAGGiS Adventures Takes Over Scotlandhour to Explore Social Scotland
Scotlandhour is delighted to confirm HAGGiS Adventures (@HaggisTours) as takeover hosts for August 2017, exploring the theme of “Social Scotland” on Wednesday 30 August, from 9-10pm BST.
Cool co-hosts joining HAGGiS Adventures for this month’s takeover are inspiring blogger and “adventure traveller for kickass chicks” @TeacakeTravels, along with NatGeoTraveller 2016 Travel Blogger of the Year @BudgetTraveller and Skyscanner journalist and travel writer @MadaboutTravel.
All will be promoting this month’s #scotlandhour Twitter chat between now and the end of the month.
In this guest blog, HAGGiS Adventures talk more about the theme and reveal this month’s questions.
Social media undoubtedly has a massive influence over people’s travel decisions. Platforms such as Twitter, Instagram and Facebook can help us decide where to go, what to see and how to get there. We can take our pick from numerous social channels, communities and digital content from bloggers, tourism businesses and tourism bodies, not to mention locals – on where to eat, which tours and travel experiences to try and more; then share them with our families and friends.
Through social media and digital content, we can get a broad understanding of what Scotland can offer from several perspectives: but what makes the best content, and where do we find it?
The team at HAGGiS Adventures are delighted to host this month’s #scotlandhour Twitter chat as “Social Scotland” is a subject close to our hearts. We’re a budget backpacking tour company providing tours and travel experiences to the Scottish Highlands for travellers aged 18-35. As a youth tour operator, we understand the power of social media as a tool to engage with our customers and let them communicate their own travel experiences of Scotland. We have been working with bloggers and vloggers for many years, and collaborated with others to create #Blogmanay back at the start in 2012.
User generated content is at the heart of how we communicate with our customers, with Instagram one of the most popular social media platforms and the perfect tool to get across what it’s ”actually” like to tour Scotland.
With the help of our road crew, we have a healthy following on Instagram and encourage our visitors to spread the #DeepScottishLove by sharing their fantastic experiences of Scotland.
So please join us to share your “Social Scotland” and to find out the “who, what and where” for the very best travel tips in #Scotlandhour on Wednesday 30 August from 9-10pm.
